Twin Fiddling – Workshop Notes
Here are my notes from the twin fiddle workshop. It has some general rules to consider when playing twin fiddle, as well as a very basic arrangement of Boil The Cabbage Down as triple fiddle, and Who’s Gonna Talk to Dinah as a twin arrangement I did based on hearing Junior Marriott play it with Alita Stoneking at the Grand Lake National fiddle contest.
Practical Music Theory – Workshop Notes
I have posted the notes that I handed out at the Practical Music Theory fiddle workshop. If you are wanting to learn a little bit about music theory, the reference sheet below has some good basic info (of course, we marked them up in the class with all sorts of other notes.)
Cross-Tuning – Workshop Notes
Here are my notes from the Cross-Tuned fiddle workshop. It has some recommendations for things to consider when you are wanting to cross-tune your fiddle. I also have listed some of the more common Alternate Violin Tunings. If you have additional tuning, please feel free to add them in the comments section.
I also have included sheet music to Midnight on the Water by Luke Thomasson. The music is just the basic melody. Below, you will also find a YouTube video of me playing Midnight on the water.
